Exploring the issues of our world, political and personal, with a new approach, good humor and malice toward none.

The political problems of our world seem unsolvable because we have two political parties who have only one goal in mind. Making money and controlling power. Business people enter the world of business to make money to buy power. Politicians gain power in order to make money. Then results are the same. Those who seek to rule the world both need money and power. The only difference is the road that those choose to attain the money and power that they want.

As there appears to be no limit as to how much money some people need, there is also no limit to how much power some individuals want. Those who enter the political arena have to do enough to please their constituents in order to remain in office. But, the realization of their desires have nothing to do with the issues that affect the families of this country. The politicians need the money from the corporations to make the money that they need to satisfy their personal desires.

While these facts are true, politicians and corporations cannot overrule the will of the people if:

    1. the people get involved
    2. if they vote out their representatives then their representatives are not responding to the needs of the people
    3. when the people stay in contact with their representatives and;
    4. when the people develop and express concepts that reflect the desires of the people.

My purpose is to provide ideas. Ideas create thought. Thought leads to better ideas. When better ideas are presented, people get involved. When the people get involved, the people can change the course of their government.

While the content of the articles may be provocative and may be offensive to some, no offense is intended. Truth, or the quest for truth, sometimes requires open debate and open confrontation of behaviors. While I have personal beliefs that work for me, I do not want or intend to tell others how to live their lives. I am also of the opinion that the government is not the proper authority to make moral choices for their people. That is what the church, whatever church you choose to belong to, or not, is for. As Winston Churchill wrote:

“Parliament can compel people to obey or to submit, but it cannot compel them to agree.”

Moral values should not be enforced by rule of law. Moral values should be enforced by your own conscience. If your behavior harms no one but yourself, it’s no ones business what you do.

Personal relationships always provide great sources for humor and exploration. Relationships are all about emotion. As the intellect is never involved, opportunities for the writer abound. And truth, even about relationships, is always funnier and more entertaining than any fiction.

So read the articles and reflect on the ideas. You are not required to agree with anything I write. Hopefully, whether you agree or disagree, you can improve on those ideas. Then together, we can make things better for all of us.

I hope you enjoy what you read.
